Queer Erotica continues to be underrepresented in Romance and Erotic publications, but the tides are changing. The Erotic Museum Vegas is hosting a competition for the best queer erotic literature: Queerotica!

We want your crazy, steamy, sexual exploits put to paper and shared for the rest of the world to get off to! This is your chance to turn your fantasies into your payday. The Erotic Heritage Museum is giving away nearly Two thousand dollars in cash prizes to winners.

The deadline for entry is October 31st. Winners will be published and distributed internationally through Microcosm Publishing and will be featured at Harry Mohney’s Erotic Heritage Museum Las Vegas.

Cash prizes are:

1st place: $1000
2nd place: $500
3rd place: $250

4th and 5th place: $100 prize pack
All other Accepted entires will receive prizes worth more than $50

All content must fit the erotica genre. Entries can be fiction or nonfiction and can involve any gender identity or sexual orientation. Stories must be previously unpublished and should range between 200 and 6,000 words. The deadline for submissions is Oct. 31, 2017. File formats can be .pdf, Microsoft Word, rich text or plain text. The idea of what is or is not queer has been the topic of debate for a long time. In our opinion, queerness is the defiant reaction to an attempt by those with power to label those without. It is less about qualifying as such and more about what one can do with the opportunity to comfortably step outside the prescribed lines.
