The paintings feature a combination of photorealistic and graphic novel-style imagery that embody the essence of Halloween. They’re full of spooky atmosphere, evocative of classic horror films from the ’60s and ’70s, as well as illustrations incorporated in erotic novels from the same era.

Statement from the Artist –

“I was influenced from an early age by multiple art & media sources…earliest would be my extensive view master collection as well as the family World Book encyclopedia collection which taught me much about the world & many artists.

After high school I was much involved with music & played in several bands but found I had a nature more suited to solitary creation hence art became a more important focus.

Thus I received an AA in Art from Spokane Falls Com. College. Having little interest in commercial art & fine art as a living seemed fairly uncertain I joined the Army.

Traveling over seas I spent much time in Italy which was my greatest artistic influence seeing the works of all the great Masters. Today I have Masters Degree in Physical Therapy but still paint regularly.

Art influences are Underground comic artists of the 1960’s & 1970’s as well as the Commercial illustrators of the 1940s & 50s. Also the talented artists of 1960’s low brow men’s magazines. The Italian Renaissance Masters, 1960’s new wave cinema & anything related to the 50’s thru the mid 70’s in terms on cinema in general Italian cinema especially Mario Bava.”
